Please join us for the 2nd annual

Junior Christmas Bird Count

Saturday | Dec. 16 | 8:30–11:30 AM

at

Mass Audubon’s Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary

100 Felix Neck Drive, Edgartown, Massachusetts 02539

Kids ages 8 and up, and parents, are welcome to this free event!

We’ll have binoculars to loan to all participants. The morning will begin with some instruction on using binoculars and spotting scopes, then we will split into groups led by local birders to locate, observe, and identify birds around the refuge. At 11 am, we’ll meet back at the visitor’s center for a tally while we enjoy hot drinks and snacks!

We will offer some bird-focused activities at the barn for children younger than 8, so feel free to bring your entire brood.

Please PRE-REGISTER by emailing felixneck@massaudubon.org  or calling 508.627.4850 (registration closes Friday, Dec. 15). We will provide more details with registration.

Any birders interested in volunteering to help lead groups, please email  LuanneJ@biodiversityworksmv.org
